The foam strip is tied in at the
point where the moose mane is tied off and a thread loop for
spinning is created. After the peacock herl is tied off, the CDC is
spun in the thread loop and with the foam strip as base, the CDC
loop is tied the same way as a paraloop hackle. By building upp the
thorax a little more you can angle the wing backwards, like the one
