Cement the entire
fly |
I guess this fly can
pass as both a 'thread only' as well as a 'no thread' fly. The
entire fly is made of tying thread, but since you don't use a
separate thread for tying, every thread wrap you make will be a
material wrap.
The case consists of 6 pieces of thread, stitched to a chain of
knots, which is then wrapped around the fly. Since Gudebrod doesn't
makes this 250 denier G thread anymore, it can be hard to get hold
of. But there are several threads which can be used instead.
A few examples of threads
similar in size:
* UTC 210
(210 denier)
* UTC 280
(280 denier)
* UNI 3/0
(266 denier)
* Danville
